The Road Less Traveled

Embarking on this journey

Taking the road less traveled

Not driven by selfish ambition

No longer settling for the counterfeit

To advance in the world or to advance in the kingdom? The answer should be obvious right? But why do we, as people, settle for the counterfeit? The counterfeit looks good, looks appealing, it can work.. for a time, but what happens when we take that counterfeit to cash it at the bank? Will it pass? No. It won’t pass through the Maker.

It’s kind of like having chicken nuggets for dinner every night, chicken nuggets are good, it can do, but is it what’s best for you? Does it have the nutrients to better you as a person? No. (I know it’s not the most profound analogy, but it works. :) )

This also correlates with many relationships. People settle for the counterfeit instead of waiting on the promise, on God's perfect will. We can choose to be in denial but God knows. Why settle for anything less than genuine?
